29 Mar A fond farewell to our Norma
On Friday 26th of March was a day filled with tears as we honoured Norma in a very emotional (socially distanced) ceremony to celebrate her retirement.
She was overwhelmed by such lovely messages from so many families and friends and was totally blown away by the many words of thanks and appreciation that the staff said privately to her – Norma spent 8.5 years at Saint Joseph’s and she wanted to make a difference to how people living with dementia were cared for in Ireland and she has certainly achieved that, her determination, passion and leadership have inspired so many.
She is happy to retire as she knows that all the team are committed to our culture of care and keeping up all the standards we have achieved under her guidance and stewardship.
Now our mission is to ensure that everyone in Ireland is cared for in the same way.
You can hear Norma speak passionately here in the Virgin media one documentary hosted by Martin King.
In the meantime – Norma we miss you already xx
