Help us to fix & maintain the roof of our dementia care home at St. Joseph’s, Shankill, together we can Raise the Roof for Dementia!

Our building is home to over 60 people living with dementia and we offer over 120 places in our Day Care Club every week, so maintaining our home is our top priority!

At the top of our agenda this year is our roof, which is 35 years old, and needs vital repair and maintenance works.

We are aiming to raise €75,000 – a large portion of the cost of this essential work through several fundraisers & our brand new “Raise the Roof Appeal” !

35 Year Old Roof in Need of Repair

While our residents inside are safe & happy, above their heads a big problem looms! Photos taken during a recent roof assessment show significant wear & tear, cracking, & water damage that need to be addressed before the damage increases & causes major leaks & problems for those inside!

What’s the Plan?

Quotes have come in at over €160,000 for the entirity of the work! We are hoping to raise €75,000 through fundraising efforts over the next year to support this crucial project. In the mean time essential work will be carried out to the areas that need it most, and then funds raised will be used to fix & maintain the rest of the roof to ensure no further damage can cause  us any issues! With your help everyone in our care can continue to feel safe & happy with a newly repaired roof overhead for decades to come!
