Why Donate
In Ireland there are approximately 11 people EVERY day diagnosed with dementia.
Saint Joseph’s is the ONLY home in the country totally and solely dedicated to caring for people living with dementia.
Our vision is to lead the way in dementia care in Ireland and care for people in the best way possible.
Tax Efficient Giving
If you pay income tax in the Republic of Ireland, and donate more than €250 in a tax year, Saint Joseph’s Shankill could claim tax relief on your donation and boost the value of your gift without it costing you a cent.
If you are a tax payer the tax refund for donations will be set at a blended rate of 31% regardless of the rate of tax which you pay. The Revenue Donations Tax scheme refunds 31% blended rate of tax on the equivalent of your ‘pre-taxed’ donation value, which effectively results in a 45% return on donations.
Tax relief forms
Following changes to the tax relief on donations to charities, effective from 1 January 2013, new forms are now available. You can now sign an enduring certificate (CHY3) which is valid for five years and can be renewed both by text and online.
