How to help us managing Covid-19

These are unprecedented and challenging times for everyone in Ireland.

For the team here at Saint Joseph’s Shankill, our priority remains to provide the best care and support for the most vulnerable and frail in our society and of course to protect our wonderful and dedicated staff.

As with many front-line organisations across Ireland, the COVID-19 outbreak poses a massive challenge to our services for vulnerable people living with dementia.

We have had to suspend all our day care services and our community work for those people in our care who are living at home alone or with their families.  But we have started daily ‘virtual’ zoom day care activities for people at home to join.

We still need to provide 24/7 around the clock care for the 60 people who live with us, all of whom are living with dementia at different stages of the illness.

So what can you do to help us?

It goes without saying that the most important thing for everyone to do is to abide by all the HSE guidelines to flatten the curve.

But we also need funds to keep delivering our specialised care.

All donations, no matter how big or small will make a difference.

If you feel you can donate to us, please complete the donor form on this page.
